Nature of Work
The works comprise the alteration and upward extension (2 storeys) to the existing science wing. A steel frame has been erected which spans over the science wing and rests on new cast in place concrete piles. Floors are constructed of concrete on metal decking. The building envelope is constructed in facing brick to match existing inc timber/trespa panelling, mock slate tiles to roof and aluminium polyester powder coated windows. New mechanical & electrical services are being installed in 1st floor inc reconfiguration of services to ground floor also installation of 1No lift. Ground and 1st floor will be fully fitted out with fixed classroom furniture including new floor, wall & ceiling finishes. 2nd floor will be left for future expansion.
